POWEROAD recently participated in Poland’s 13th National Days of Integrated Fire Safety Systems, a significant event for the fire safety industry. The conference, held on October 7–8, brought together experts, system integrators, and technology providers to exchange insights on integrated safety solutions and the future of intelligent facility management.

Jacek Serwin, serving as Market Development Manager for Eastern Europe, offered valuable perspectives on how energy storage systems (ESS) can be integrated with Building Management Systems (BMS) during the gathering. His presentation emphasized the critical function of Energy Management Systems (EMS) as a central hub for monitoring, managing, and optimizing various energy assets. Key discussion points encompassed the integration of ESS with other control systems, intelligent operation of ESS, cybersecurity for EMS, and capabilities for secure local control. As applications for battery energy storage systems (BESS) become more prevalent in intricate commercial and industrial settings, seamless communication among ESS, EMS, BMS, and safety systems gains increasing importance. Secure and coordinated system integration contributes to improved operational reliability while supporting safer energy storage deployment.

The event also highlighted the proven safety performance of POWEROAD’s FLEX 261 Series, including the FLEX 261, FLEX 261 AIO, and FLEX 261 AIO-3S models. This particular series successfully underwent a Large-Scale Fire Test (LSFT), which was carried out in compliance with both CSA/ANSI C800:2025 and ANSI/CAN/UL 9540A:2026 Sixth Edition. Under rigorous large-scale fire test conditions, the findings confirmed that fire did not spread between adjacent cabinets. This provides important technical evidence supporting safer deployment of commercial and industrial energy storage systems. The test was specifically designed to evaluate system-level fire performance under challenging conditions, underscoring the importance of comprehensive safety validation for modern BESS applications.

For commercial and industrial customers, energy storage safety involves not only preventing incidents but also ensuring reliable operation throughout the system lifecycle. By combining proven safety performance with intelligent system integration capabilities, this series is engineered to facilitate safer, more flexible, and smarter energy storage applications across various commercial and industrial (C&I) environments. Established in 2001, POWEROAD specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of lithium-ion battery energy storage systems for residential, commercial & industrial, and utility-scale applications. The company has delivered over 1,000 C&I ESS projects worldwide and operates in 72 countries and regions.
